About

The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) came to us with a challenge: reduce the number of single occupancy vehicles on the road within the city of Seattle through a broad reaching digital, social, and out-of-home campaign.

The obvious solution? The hero all Seattleites needed: Sal (short for Sally) the sassy and sarcastic Salmon, and new SDOT ambassador for saving the planet, reducing single occupancy rides, and encouraging residents to “Flip Your Trip.”

Sal hit the streets to quiz and quip with commuters, all in an effort to spread the word about how flipping just one commute a week can have a big impact on reducing congestion and one’s own environmental impact.

From billboards to bus wraps, this small campaign packed a whole lot of punch. Working alongside the amazing Stephani Sachs as Sal the Salmon, I’m proud to say our crew made the most of out this little fish’s first SDOT campaign.
